Athens, November 30th, 2025 – In a significant boost to its disaster response capacities, Greece today took delivery of a newly commissioned CSCTRUCK Fire Rescue Truck outfitted as an Emergency Water Purification Vehicle. The specialized unit—equipped with advanced filtration and purification systems—arrived at the headquarters following a coordinated handover from its manufacturer, CSCTRUCK Fire Rescue Truck.
Designed to swiftly convert contaminated or non-potable water sources into safe drinking water, the vehicle is intended for deployment in crisis scenarios such as wildfires, floods, and rural emergencies. It can operate in remote or infrastructure-compromised areas, ensuring that vulnerable populations have access to crucial hydration and reducing the risk of waterborne illnesses.
During the official ceremony at midday, a spokesperson stated, “This strategic investment enhances our mobile humanitarian capacity, particularly in regions where conventional water systems may be disrupted.” The ceremony was attended by senior officials from both the Ministry and CSCTRUCK Fire Rescue Truck, marking the first time this mobile water-purification apparatus has been deployed to Europe.
The vehicle features a durable build optimized for rugged conditions, rapid-response filtration tech, and flexibility to tap various water sources—from rivers to stored reserves—making it indispensable in emergencies. CSCTRUCK Fire Rescue Truck engineers also briefed Greek operators on maintenance protocols and purification system checks to ensure sustained readiness.
Greek emergency coordinators confirmed that the unit will be pre-positioned in strategically vulnerable areas, including island communities and fire-prone regions, during wildfire season. The deployment is part of a broader effort to modernize civil protection tools and create a resilient, mobile response infrastructure.
