The upper body of the KAMA Kaijie 4WD wildland fire engine adopts a special structure, which offers better passability compared to the standard tank body of a water tank fire truck. A protective frame is installed around the box, not only providing safety for operators but also enhancing the overall sturdiness and reliability of the structure.
The equipment compartments are located on both sides behind the cab. Inside the compartments are lighting fixtures and equipment positioners, while the exterior features aluminum alloy rolling shutters. These configurations and layouts are designed based on firefighters’ operational needs and are highly practical.
The wildland fire engine is also equipped with 2 firefighter seats for fire suppression operations, each fitted with safety belts, protective rails, and hand grips for safety. A handheld straight-stream fire hose nozzle is mounted in a fixed clamp located in front of the firefighter seats, ensuring secure placement and easy access.
The water tank’s inlet and manhole cover are both located on top of the box. The inlet is used for timely refilling of water, while the manhole cover allows for inspection and cleaning of the tank’s interior. Several high-pressure spray nozzles are also installed around the top of the box, enabling the vehicle to spray water while in motion for firefighting.
The pump compartment is located at the rear of the vehicle. Inside are the water pump system, various gauges, indicator lights, liquid level gauges, pressure gauges, and vacuum gauges. The fire pump is a low-pressure centrifugal type with a rated flow of 20 L/s. As a key component in firefighting operations, the fire pump must be operated properly and maintained regularly to ensure it remains in optimal working condition at all times.
This KAMA Kaijie 4WD wildland fire engine features a tank with a capacity of 3 cubic meters and a water cannon with an effective range of 50 meters. It can be equipped with a remote water supply system to meet different operational requirements, with a delivery distance of approximately 3,000 meters. This vehicle has strong off-road capabilities and is suitable for firefighting in forests, parks, and similar terrains.
