The transmission system uses the Fast manual gearbox, which is the most widely used transmission in China, and comes equipped with a hydraulic retarder. The rear axle adopts the H8A axle developed with Fiat technology. This axle shares synchronization with imported Iveco technology and ranks among the top in the industry in terms of load-bearing capacity and reliability. The entire powertrain configuration is synchronized with imported Iveco models but tailored to domestic conditions with the Fast gearbox, making it both reliable and easy to maintain.
The front axle features air suspension.
SAIC Hongyan has also equipped this chassis with full air suspension, and the air height adjustment system allows the chassis height to be adjusted to adapt to different road and work conditions. The original factory-built 4-door cab offers a wide range of modification possibilities. It can be configured as a primary fire engine, rescue vehicle, command vehicle, etc. Moreover, the original cab is more reliable than the modified 4-door cabs.
