The appearance doesn’t have many flashy highlights—after all, this is a work vehicle and doesn’t need decorative styling. The bold SHACMAN Auto logo on the front grille indicates its domestic origin. The 2 round headlights mounted on the steel bumper are designed for easy replacement.

It features four-wheel independent suspension, with large travel coil springs and tubular shock absorbers that allow the axles to move more freely. This ensures the tires maintain full contact with the ground, improving traction.

According to the specifications, the SHACMAN 4X4 wildland fire truck is equipped with a 180-horsepower diesel engine. Since it’s not aimed at the civilian market, the SHACMAN SX2018 only meets Euro 5 emission standards. Power is transmitted through a FAST-manual 6-speed gearbox.

The drive axle is a MAN-technology-derived HANDE hub reduction axle, offering excellent off-road capability. Unlike the Unimog, the SHACMAN long-nose doesn’t use a torque tube to enclose the drive shaft, making the drive shaft and central transfer case visible from beneath. Inside the chassis frame, you can also see the air reservoir tank used for braking.

Getting into the SHACMAN long-nose off-road vehicle isn’t particularly easy—the high ground clearance of the side step is meant to enhance off-road capability. However, once inside, it’s a whole different experience. With a front-mounted engine, the cabin features a completely flat floor, and the waterproof flooring is designed for easy cleaning after driving through water. The leather seats, featuring diamond-stitched patterns, add a subtle touch of luxury.
