As we all know, the petrochemical industry involves many chemically flammable and explosive substances that have low boiling points and high volatility. Once a fire breaks out, it can cause immense property damage and loss of life. Unlike ordinary fires, petrochemical fires also pose the risk of explosions, which can occur unpredictably and without warning. This unpredictability poses a serious threat to firefighting and rescue personnel, significantly increasing the difficulty of firefighting operations. In the face of such high-risk fires, this specialized fire truck—the SINOTRUK HOWO TX 8×4 Euro VI Dual-Cab Foam Fire Truck—is specifically designed to combat petrochemical fires.

The foam fire truck measures 11.99 meters in length, 2.55 meters in width, and 3.56 meters in height. It features a SINOTRUK HOWO dual-row cab with a standard seating capacity for 2+4 personnel, allowing it to transport multiple firefighters to the fire scene for emergency response.

The HOWO’s front end adopts a family-style design, with the central grille extending to the front bumper. The overall structure forms a V-shape, with a smooth transition between the upper and lower sections. The irregular combination headlights are located on both sides of the bumper and retain the classic Sinotruk design with a fang-like appearance—very distinctive.

In terms of power, the fire truck is equipped with a CNHTC 440-horsepower diesel engine delivering a maximum output of 324 kW and peak torque of 2,100 Nm. The inline 6-cylinder engine adopts a high-pressure common rail system with EGR and SCR technology to meet the Euro 6 emissions standard.

The vehicle is fitted with 12 Triangle-brand tires, model 315/80R22.5, with a standard tire pressure of 830 kPa indicated on the fenders. Triangle Tire Company has over 40 years of manufacturing experience, and its products are known for excellent heat dissipation, stability, and handling performance.

The truck’s upper body adopts a fully enclosed structure. Unlike other foam fire trucks, there are no external fire equipment compartments around the sides of the box. Instead, more than 2 small toolboxes are integrated into the left and right side protection panels. The main box uses a built-in tank structure design, with a total tank capacity of 24.724 cubic meters. The water tank holds 20.9 cubic meters, with dimensions of 5,840 × 2,450 × 1,530 mm. The foam liquid tank holds 3.824 cubic meters, with dimensions of 1,070 × 2,450 × 1,530 mm.

At the rear of the body are 3 aluminum alloy roller shutter doors that provide access to the fire pump compartment. Inside are the fire pump and water pump system, along with various instruments such as indicator lights, liquid level gauges, pressure gauges, and vacuum gauges.

A foldable safety ladder is mounted on one side of the rear pump compartment. This space-saving design is both simple and practical. The foam monitor is located on top of the vehicle body and can be accessed via the rear ladder. It is used to spray a foam-water mixture directly at the fire source to extinguish the flames.
