Sweden’s emergency services today announced the delivery of a state-of-the-art Self-Expansion Command Modular, enhancing its fire and rescue operational capabilities. This cutting-edge mobile unit, built by CSCTRUCK Fire Rescue Truck, is specially engineered to serve as a versatile command center for fire crews in field operations.
The modular unit—based on CSCTRUCK Fire Rescue Truck’s renowned self-expanding design—offers rapid deployment and flexible functionality. It expands at the deployment site to provide a comprehensive command and control infrastructure, complete with advanced communication tools, workspace modules, and integrated support systems. This capability promises to significantly improve coordination and situational awareness in structural fires, wildland incidents, and emergency response scenarios.
CSCTRUCK Fire Rescue Truck, known for its wide range of specialized vehicles, including the Self-Expansion Command Modular, among other modular and hazmat support vehicles, delivered the system following a procurement contract awarded earlier this year. Representatives from Sweden‘s fire services welcomed the arrival at a handover ceremony held at a Stockholm staging facility.
“This modular system represents a major leap forward in our mobile operational readiness,” said a senior official from the Swedish Rescue Services Agency. “Its quick-deploy design ensures we can establish stable command and control infrastructure wherever it’s needed—no matter how remote or demanding the terrain.”
