Both the front and rear axles of the MAN TGM 15.290 4×2 chassis are equipped with air suspension—an advanced feature of the MAN TGM series. Thanks to the ECAS (Electronically Controlled Air Suspension) system, the vehicle can maintain a stable ride height regardless of load. Additionally, the chassis height can be manually adjusted: it can be lowered by 90 mm or raised by 190 mm from the standard ride height, allowing it to adapt to various industrial and mining operations.

The 12-speed MAN TipMatic automatic transmission combined with the MAN D08 engine forms an economical power system that delivers outstanding performance, drivability, and efficiency. The MAN TGM 15.290 4×2 chassis is powered by the MAN D08 twin-turbocharged common rail diesel engine, compliant with EURO V emission standards. It delivers a maximum of 290 horsepower and a peak torque of 1,150 Nm, with a wide torque range that ensures strong power across the entire RPM range.

The user-friendly MAN TipMatic automatic transmission automatically selects the optimal gear for maximum engine braking, enhancing driving safety while reducing fuel consumption and easing the burden on the drivetrain. It also features the integrated EasyStart hill start assist, which maintains full brake pressure between releasing the brake pedal and pressing the accelerator.

With a lighter curb weight, the MAN TGM 15.290 4×2 chassis offers greater payload. Its front axle supports up to 5,600 kg, and the rear axle up to 10,000 kg. The entire frame is made from high-strength materials and features a completely flat top surface, allowing easy installation of various upper body structures. Pre-drilled, well-aligned mounting holes eliminate the need for later drilling, preserving corrosion resistance and simplifying modifications. To meet different user requirements for body installations, the MAN TGM 15.290 4×2 chassis is available in wheelbase options of 4,125; 4,425; 4,725; 5,075; and 5,425 mm.

The chassis comes with the MAN C-type cab, which, despite its compact size, offers home-like comfort. It was specifically designed for frequent operation in dense urban environments, featuring low entry height, wide-opening doors, easy cross-cab access, and optional dual co-driver seats—all of which enhance user convenience.
