● New Products, New Technologies – MAN Stars Make Their Debut
As this marks the brand’s official appearance, MAN is showcasing its premium offerings to eagerly awaiting customers. So, what makes these “top-tier” products so special? Here’s a sneak peek!
The main products MAN is presenting are 2 fire trucks: the TGM18.340 4X4 BB and the TGS33.540 6X6 BB.
First up, the TGM18.340 4X4 BB MAN fire truck is a flagship model in MAN’s fire truck chassis lineup and remains one of the most popular models in the series.
It features an original 4-door, double-row DK-type cab with standard seating for 6, meeting the needs of fire squads and ensuring practical usability.
Secondly, the TGM is powered by the D08 series engine, which does not require urea (AdBlue)—making it both convenient and economical. On top of that, it delivers a maximum of 340 horsepower (250 kW) and a specific power of 13.8, making its robust performance highly appealing.
Third, despite its powerful output, it’s also fuel-efficient—hard to believe? The TGM adopts a disconnectable front-drive system, allowing its front-wheel drive to be controlled for improved fuel efficiency—making it a true fuel-saving champion.
Now let’s look at the other star of the show—the TGS fire truck. TGS vehicles are a common sight across various firefighting departments.
The TGS features an airport-class main foam fire truck chassis and meets EURO V emission standards. With a balance of strong power and energy efficiency, it is undoubtedly a forward-looking model.
It accelerates rapidly, easily meeting the quick-response needs of airport vehicles—reaching 80 km/h in under 40 seconds. Additionally, the vehicle’s maximum permissible gross weight is 27,000 kg. According to available data, the vehicle’s top speed is 125.4 km/h (electronically limited to 89 km/h), with acceleration times of just 27.7 seconds (0–65 km/h) and 36.9 seconds (0–80 km/h)—outstanding performance by any measure!
Currently, in the field of fire trucks in the whole world, MAN is widely recognized for the stability, reliability, and adaptability of its chassis. As a leading fire truck chassis supplier, MAN Germany is the undisputed leader among imported fire truck chassis.
At past fire equipment expos, the majority of exhibiting manufacturers have showcased fire trucks built on MAN chassis—demonstrating MAN’s dominant position in the market.
